Military Academy Nominations

NOTICE: Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all 2020 Service Academy interviews will be conducted virtually. Congressman Langevin’s office will contact applicants to schedule these interviews and to provide necessary login information.

In addition, all applicants will be required to submit SAT/ACT scores to their respective Academies prior to admission. However, exceptions will be made during the Congressional interview process if applicants have been unable to take the SAT/ACT or if scores have not yet been received.

One of the great privileges and responsibilities of being a Member of Congress is the ability to nominate talented young Rhode Islanders to the U.S. Service Academies – the United States Military Academy at West Point, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.* If you are a resident of the 2nd Congressional District and between the ages of 17 and 23, I invite you to apply for a nomination from my office. Applications for matriculation in July of 2021 will be due October 31, 2020.

*The United States Coast Guard Academy does not accept congressional nominations; however, if you are interested in serving in the Coast Guard, I encourage you to reach out to my office for any assistance you may need.

All correspondence and telephone inquiries regarding the Service Academies can be directed to:
