CCRI Represents Rhode Island at White House
WARWICK, RI - Congressman Jim Langevin announced today that Ray Di Pasquale, president of the Community College of Rhode Island, has been selected to attend Thursday’s White House Forum on Jobs and Economic Growth. The announcement will take place at CCRI’s Knight Campus in Warwick.
“I am proud to have worked to ensure that Rhode Island has a seat at Thursday’s forum to discuss job creation opportunities,” said Langevin. “We need to get creative about workforce development in our state and that includes making sure educational opportunities are not only affordable and available for our residents, but geared for the cutting edge jobs of the 21st century. CCRI is the ideal choice to represent Rhode Island in this area and we will work together on our state's economic recovery beyond Thursday's forum.”
“I am both proud and delighted to represent Rhode Island at the White House forum,” said Di Pasquale. “I look forward to participating in an open forum with our nation’s top political and business leaders. I particularly want to thank Congressman Langevin for arranging this opportunity for me to articulate the role of community colleges in training the workforce that will help lead the way to economic recovery.”
CCRI has nearly 18,000 students enrolled across four campuses and two satellite locations.
