Important Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information and Resources

Dear Friends,
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a public health crisis the likes of which none of us have experienced in our lifetimes. I have remained hopeful because of the way Rhode Islanders have come together to handle the pandemic, help each other, and keep our communities moving forward. You are doing your part – and as your representative I have been working hard to provide immediate help during this difficult period. In recent weeks, the House has acted with urgency and passed sweeping relief packages to help families, workers, and small businesses.
MY OFFICE HAS COMPILED A LIST OF HELPFUL RESOURCES:
Economic Impact Payment Information
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides a $1,200 one-time payment per adult and $500 per child to help those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These payments will phase out for individuals making more than $75,000 or couples making more than $150,000. Americans have started to receive their stimulus payments. If you have not, you can now check the status of your payment, update your bank information, and submit your information if you did not file taxes in 2018 or 2019 by using the IRS' new “Get My Payment” portal. If you are a recipient of Social Security retirement, disability, or survivor benefits, you should receive your payment automatically.
